Clip Clop Riding Lessons with Horse Play are filled with riding fun and interesting horse-related activities.

Clip Clop Learn to Ride 1 Riders are introduced to all things horses through crafts, interactive games and of course, riding lessons!

Our excellent Riding Instructors teach riders about safety and confidence around horses, while riding and handling, and in the stables; bonding with horse, the parts of the horse, grooming, tacking and basic horsemanship in both English and Western styles of riding.

The 3-Hour Session is divided into two parts:

Riding – Our goal is that riders learn learn how to lead, brush and tack up horses, and we teach this on Buddy Horses (practice model horses) prior to moving onto live horses in order to ensure safety, confidence, and knowledge. The riders rave about this feature and report that they are super glad they learned the many skills of grooming, tacking, mounting/dismounting, and haltering before they fu(n)mbled through it on live horses.

Depending on the confidence, experience level, and desire to ride of the individual rider, riders are supported in making their own decision to: ride their own horse, share a horse (many kids love this), lead a horse or watch others before riding on their own. We have a 100% success rate of riders riding, at their level, confidently!

Riding – Riders will prepare horses to ride, then ride, and un-tack. The entire process takes 2 hours. Riders will learn how to lead, groom, and tack up their horses for the lesson.

Horse Play – Riders learn horsemanship skills through theory and hands-on;  fun anatomy facts, nutrition, feeding, caring for horses, by engaging in fun activities and games.

Clip Clop Riding Lessons with Horse Play accelerate riding ability faster than riding lessons alone.

Clip Clop Learn to Ride 2 Riders  build on the skills they have learned prior to this level, and begin to become more independent.

They develop more balance and confidence riding, and many establish trust in their ability to trot and canter.
