ROOKIE RIDER
A well-rounded horse camp for developing riders

Days: Monday–Friday
Time: Approx. 8:30-4:30 (Depending on Group Assignment)

Fee: Full Day $595 + GST | Half Day $395 + GST
Camp Details:
A detailed camp information package is sent to families two weeks prior to camp start.

WHAT IS ROOKIE RIDER CAMP?
Rookie Rider Camp is Clip Clop’s signature summer horse camp for rider ages 5-18 with no to moderate riding or horse experience.

This is where riders learn:

How to ride safely and confidently

How to bond with horses

How to care for and understand their horse
Days are filled with horses, learning, crafts, games, laughter, and friendship—both two- and four-legged.
No pressure. No experience needed. Just curiosity and a love for horses.​​

CAMP SUPERVISION & LEADERSHIP SUPPORT
Clip Clop camps are supported by a large, experienced leadership team dedicated to camper safety, supervision, and positive experiences.

With over 100 trained youth leaders and staff supporting our programs, campers benefit from a high leader-to-camper ratio at all times. International high-performance horse trainers and coaches are present on site in an executive oversight role, including the facility owners and the owner of Clip Clop, who are internationally experienced coaches and actively monitor daily operations to ensure all staff and leadership teams are following established safety standards and SOPs.

Each day is thoughtfully structured to balance learning, movement, and fun
—while keeping campers engaged, safe, and excited to return
CAMPER GROUPING & FRIEND REQUESTS
To create the best learning and social experience, campers are grouped primarily by age and developmental stage.

Typical age groupings include:

These groupings are approximate and may vary slightly from week to week depending on enrollment and camp format.

Campers may request to be grouped with:

We do our best to accommodate these requests whenever possible. However, if a requested grouping falls outside a camper’s typical age range, families and campers must be comfortable with the adjusted grouping.

BEFORE & AFTER CAMP CHILDCARE
We offer supervised extended care for families who need it.
​
Available Times:
• Early Drop-Off: from 7:30 AM
• Late Pick-Up: until 5:30 PM
​
Fees:
• Early Drop-Off Only: $37.50/week
• Late Pick-Up Only: $37.50/week
• Both Early & Late: $65/week
​
Extended care can be selected during camp registration.

CAMP MEMORIES & PHOTOS
Each camp week includes youth leadership photography for our campers.
​
A youth leader camp photographer in onsite during the week and takes individual photos of each camper, along with candid photos throughout camp activities.
Photos are uploaded to a secure SmugMug gallery and organized by the week(s) your child attends.
How Families Receive Photos

A secure gallery link is emailed to the parent email on the registration account the following week of the camp they attended

Galleries are private and accessible only via the link
Photo Preferences & Opt-Out
If you do not want your child’s photo taken, please:

Send a written note with your child on their first day of camp, and
-
Let your child know they should tell staff if a camera is present
This helps us ensure your child’s photo or likeness is not captured.​​​
Media Use Permission
If we would like to use a photo for promotional or marketing purposes, parent permission is always confirmed again, even if a media waiver has already been signed. We double-check to ensure families are comfortable with any public use of images.
About Candid Photos
Our photographer makes every effort to capture candid moments of all campers. However, candid photos cannot be guaranteed for every child. Some campers may:

Prefer not to be photographed
We appreciate your understanding if your camper does not appear in candid photos during their camp week.
WHAT CAMPERS NEED TO BRING

Nutritional Lunch

Gloves: for handling hay, straw, etc.

Change of clothes (you may get wet, dirty, muddy - depending on weather).

Runners - NOT your good ones. Bring “lake or camping” shoes that are super comfy with a closed toe- no sandals, flip flops, or slides.

Epi-Pen/Allergy Meds/Asthma Meds (if applicable)If you use an Epi-Pen or inhaler, you’ll carry it with you in a fanny pack during camp so you’re always prepared and confident while enjoying your day with the horses.​
DRESS CODE
For safety and professionalism, campers must wear:

Riding breeches or riding jeans for riding

Paddock boots + half chaps or tall riding boots with a 1-inch heel
-
Belt
-
Shirt that can be tucked in.

Long socks

Hair- prepared for an equestrian helmet

No loose jewelry or unsafe items
